Your Rotorcraft Network profile is more than a biography—it’s your professional identity within the vertical flight industry. A complete profile helps employers, recruiters, operators, manufacturers, educators, and fellow professionals discover your experience, qualifications, and expertise.
The Rotorcraft Network supports the entire vertical flight ecosystem, including traditional rotorcraft, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS). Complete your profile to help others discover your expertise across these rapidly evolving sectors.
A complete profile helps you:
- Get discovered by employers, recruiters, and companies searching for your specific certifications, aircraft experience, or specialties
- Connect with the right people — other members can see your background and reach out for the right reasons
- Build credibility — a complete, professional profile demonstrates your experience and helps establish trust with employers, recruiters, companies, and fellow members
- Save time later — a complete profile reduces the need to repeatedly explain your experience when applying for jobs, connecting with other professionals, participating in groups, or responding to opportunities
- Support the industry — a strong professional network becomes more valuable as more members share accurate, complete information about their skills and experience
You don’t have to fill out everything at once. Add what’s relevant to you now, and come back anytime — every field can be edited from My Profile → Edit All.
Why complete profiles matter
Many of the Network’s search tools use the information in your profile to help other professionals discover you.
The more complete your profile is, the easier it becomes for recruiters, employers, operators, manufacturers, educators, and fellow members to find professionals with the right skills, certifications, aircraft experience, and industry expertise.
Simply put, a complete profile works harder for you.
What’s in your profile
Your profile is organized into eight sections. Here’s what each one is for and why it’s there.
Personal Information
Your name and basic personal details help identify you within the Network. During registration you’ll also select a Profile Type, which helps organize members and personalize the Network experience.
Education
Record your educational background, degrees, certifications, vocational training, manufacturer training, military education, and continuing professional development. Aviation careers are built through many different paths, and this section helps showcase yours.
Languages
List the languages you speak professionally. International operators, manufacturers, training organizations, and multinational companies often look for professionals who can communicate across borders.
Military Experience
If applicable, share your military service, branch, aviation experience, and military aircraft you’ve operated, maintained, or supported. Military aviation experience is highly respected throughout the vertical flight industry and can help employers better understand your background.
Professional Information
This is the heart of your professional profile and the section most often used for search, discovery, and recruiting. Include your occupation, professional specialties, years of experience, professional summary, work availability, operating areas, and other information that helps people understand what you do.
Honors & Awards
Highlight professional awards, commendations, published work, speaking engagements, patents, or other notable achievements that demonstrate your contributions to the industry.
Aviation Credentials
Your certificates and ratings — pilot certificates, maintenance certifications, aircraft type experience, and any regulatory or instructor credentials (FAA designations, EASA licenses, and similar). This information helps recruiters, operators, and other professionals find members with specific qualifications and aircraft experience.
Business Information
Organizations, manufacturers, operators, suppliers, recruiters, training providers, and other aviation businesses can use this section to showcase their company, services, operating regions, hiring status, and areas of expertise. A complete business profile complements your Rotorcraft Directory listing and helps industry professionals discover your organization throughout the MGB Network ecosystem. It also helps potential customers, partners, and prospective employees better understand your organization.
Companies, organizations, manufacturers, operators, maintenance providers, suppliers, flight schools, recruiters, and other aviation businesses are encouraged to complete both their Rotorcraft Network profile and their Rotorcraft Directory listing. Together, these provide a more complete picture of your organization, helping industry professionals discover your business, connect with your team, and learn more about the products, services, and opportunities you offer.
Who can see your information
Every field on your profile has a privacy setting. Four levels are available:

| Site Members | Any logged-in Rotorcraft Network member |
| Connections Only | Only members you’ve connected with |
| Only Me | Just you |
Most fields let you choose the level that’s right for you. But a handful of fields — the ones the Network uses for search and professional discovery, like Profile Type, Primary Industry Role, Home Base, Company Size, and similar — are always set to Site Members. This isn’t a bug or an oversight: if these fields could be hidden, members searching for professionals or organizations with your qualifications might never find your profile.
Everything else — your specific certifications, languages, military background, aircraft experience, and more — is yours to control. Set it to whatever feels right, and change it anytime.
A note on N/A: selecting N/A tells the Network that the field doesn’t apply to you. While it contributes toward profile completeness, it won’t help you appear in searches for that skill, certification, or experience. Use N/A for what truly doesn’t apply, and fill in what’s real wherever you can.
If you have real information to share but would rather not make it visible to the whole Network, N/A isn’t your only option. Consider filling the field in and setting its privacy to Connections Only (people you’ve connected with) instead — it still counts toward your completeness, and it’s visible to people you’ve actually connected with, without being open to every member.
Managing Your Account
Your profile fields aren’t the only place you can shape your experience on the Network. A few other tabs, alongside Profile, give you additional control:
- Preferences — control who can see your profile and who can post on it, hide yourself from member listings entirely, manage chat settings, and set your timezone.
- Notifications — choose exactly which activity (comments, reactions, messages, connection requests, and more) triggers an on-site or email notification, and how often.
- Account — update your username, email, and password, and export a full copy of your Network data anytime.
- Addresses — billing and shipping details, used only if you make a purchase through the Network (e.g. an advertising placement).
Together with your profile fields, these give you real control over your presence on the Network — what’s shared, with whom, and how you’re kept in the loop.
Profile Completeness
Your profile becomes more valuable as you add information. Completing additional sections helps improve profile completeness, making it easier for employers, recruiters, operators, manufacturers, and fellow members to understand your background and discover your expertise.
You don’t need to complete everything at once. Add information as your career grows, and revisit your profile whenever you earn new certifications, gain aircraft experience, or take on new roles within the industry.

- Go to My Profile and select Edit All.
- Work through each section — you don’t need to finish in one sitting; every field saves independently.
